Registered Clinical Counsellor Fees
I am accepting clients by referral only. I also supervise Master-level student counsellors who are offering lower-cost sliding scale counselling. (See section below.)
Fees for counselling with me include 5% GST:

Fees for counselling will increase by $5 on January 1, 2023.
Lower cost and sliding scale counselling
To increase accessibility for people experiencing financial barriers, student counsellors provide lower-cost and sliding scale counselling to individuals and couples. I provide practicum student counsellors with clinical supervision to ensure clients receive ethical support as the student counsellors complete their education.
Sliding scale is a community care-based fee payment structure that takes into consideration the disparity of economic access and privilege that exists for all intersections of folks. Sliding scale is not a sale or discount.

Insurance coverage
Although the Medical Services Plan (MSP) in British Columbia does not cover the cost of counselling services, many extended health plans do. If you have out-of-province insurance coverage, you may need to check with your provider about coverage for a Registered Clinical Counsellor, which is a designation only in British Columbia.
