Depression & Anxiety
Depression and anxiety, whether you are formally or self-diagnosed, can be debilitating. It can get in the way of attending to everyday life. At some point, you may feel like you are losing hope that things will ever change.
Depression and anxiety does not occur in a vacuum. It happens in the context of your experiences and identities. It happens within a community that is disconnected and a culture that maybe devalues who you are. It happens in response to experiences of violence.
In counselling, we can examine the way anxiety or depression takes up space your life. We can talk about it in the context of your experiences, identities, trauma and oppression. I can support you in moving towards hope and connection so that you can begin to take up more space in your own life.
